Take a look inside the Zurich guide.
At the northern end of Lake Zurich and just 30 kilometers from the Alps, Zurich is the largest city in Switzerland. It would appear to embody all the Swiss stereotypes. On the one-hand clean and efficient, on the other staid and ... boring. But there's more subtlety to Zurich than you might think. It may be full of bankers and brokers, but they know how to have fun. You just have to find out where and how. Living in Zurich is expensive - your taxes may be low but your rent won't be. The ex-pat community is supportive and surprisingly diverse. Getting to know the Swiss, though, may take a bit longer.
