Take a look inside the Tianjin guide.

Tianjin is one of China's largest cities. An important port in the north of the country, the city has long been the maritime gateway to the capital Beijing. Tianjin's relationship with foreigners has been mixed - foreign powers occupied parts of the city for 100 years until the end of the Second World War. More recently China has made a determined effort to attract  businesses from overseas to the city, creating a relatively small, but close knit expat community. The city's reputation  suffered after a series of explosions at a chemical warehouse in 2015. Like many cities, Tianjin has both benefited and suffered from China's rapid modernisation. Let us show you what that means.
